Highly recommend doing the Te Henga walkway starting at Bethells beach and ending near Muriwai. It goes all the way up to Goldie's Bush Walkway (see Dan's entry) which is about 9km, but you can turn around at any point really so one-track-fits-all. Stretch your legs on the Te Henga Walkway. One of the best walks in Auckland! The track exits, through a farm valley and another steep climb, to Constable Rd. Muriwai is a beach and village on the west coast of the Auckland Region of New Zealand, popular with people from Auckland, 42 km away. Greetings Everyone On Sunday we are going to Bethells Beach on the west coast for a day hike on the Te Henga Walkway to Tirikohua Point. The walkway can be accessed from Constable Road or Bethells Road. You can play spot the gannet along the way - they're heading back up to Muriwai rocks not far … The track stretches from Bethells Beach to Muriwai and meanders along the coastal cliffs. Its an absolutely stunning walk with amazing beach and coastal views for most of the walk. This picturesque coastal walkway runs along cliff tops and bays between Te Henga Bethells Beach and Muriwai Beach; be sure to check the Auckland Council website for any track closures before heading off.
