I wanted to finish 2019 by posting my most profound tea experience of the year – Floating Leaves Tea’s Taman Hong Shui Oolong. Thursday, November 16, 2017. I simply loved the way it felt in the mouth. I got quite distracted by the lure of new white and puer teas, while in the background I’ve gathered some banging oolongs. Dong Ding and Hong Shui Oolong One of my favorite teas of the spring season sold out a couple of months ago. I also treated myself with an ounce of 2011 Tie Guan Yin. I sampled it in the shop (already going in knowing I’ll love it as I enjoyed last year’s Nangang Baozhong), purchased, and I keep reaching for it.

I’m late to the party on 2018 Spring Oolongs. Floating Leaves Tea got me with their Lalashan Hong Shui. We just released the first teaser for our Taiwan Oolong Documentary! I loved that tea so much I didn’t review it as I wasn’t sure I could give it justice and now that tea is out of stock to buy (but I got a bag in my stash). Always eager to learn and share.
