Each summer we hold a camp program for children ages 6 yrs old and up. We are located in the pictureseque village of Mullica Hill NJ, providing horseback riding lessons and pony parties year round. Pursuing a gradual re-opening approach Sovereign Hill will be open to visitors every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum will re-open to the public on Saturday June 27. Sovereign Hill & Ballarat School Camps Being just a 45 minute drive from Ballarat, many schools chose to combine a school camp at Cave Hill Creek with a visit to Ballarat’s popular ‘Blood on the Southern Cross’ light and sound show as part of the famous Australian History excursion to Sovereign Hill. Sovereign Hill is a living museum presenting the story of Ballarat as a goldrush boomtown. Student experiences can be indoors, outdoors, above ground or below ground, providing tremendous variety and ensuring a fun and action packed excursion or camp. My highlight of camp was going into the RED HILL MINE!!! Sovereign Hill was awesome!!!! Victoria’s 1850s goldrush heritage is alive, exciting and very hands-on at Sovereign Hill with creative, stimulating and interactive experiences for students of all ages. I also enjoyed see the gold pouring because it was so cool when a kind of sound when the man put it in the water.
