Krav Maga is a combative system, not a sport; nothing is competition-legal. Systema is almost always trash. Most of these arts taught in civilian classes are actually bogus, and I'll tell you the reason why when I head into the comparison. I've seen it done many times in sambo tournaments, and also used by Scott Sonnon who does Russian Martial Arts (RMAX / ROSS) and used to be affiliated with the Krav-Systema group.
I did KM ages ago and would love to get back into it. When I answer this question, I'll be restricting myself to the military training versions of these arts.
